• Before you order your blinds, it’s essential to get accurate measurements to ensure a perfect fit. Follow these simple steps to measure your window for blinds:

• Gather Your Tools

• Measuring tape (preferably metal for accuracy)

• Pen and paper (to jot down measurements)

• A level (optional, but helpful for ensuring even measurements)

• Decide on the Mounting Type

• Before you start measuring, determine whether you want to mount your blinds inside the window frame or outside the window frame. This will affect your measurements:

• Inside Mount: The blinds will sit inside the window frame, offering a clean, recessed look.

• Outside Mount: The blinds will cover the window frame and extend past the edges for a more traditional, fuller look.

• Measure the Window Width

• For an Inside Mount:

• Measure the width of the window frame at the top, middle, and bottom, as frames can sometimes be uneven.

• Record the smallest measurement to ensure the blinds fit properly inside the frame.

• For an Outside Mount:

• Measure the width of the area you want to cover. Start by measuring the window’s frame or even a few inches beyond the window if you prefer extra coverage (typically 2-4 inches on each side).
